About us

Farmi is an affiliate of Chinese company which was started in 2013 as a development tool for remote sensing, GPS and GIS applications that assisted farmers and government collect vital farmland data. With significant growth and great results in China, employing 55 people and receiving over 30 patents, one of the co-founders is launching a Canadian business looking to solve major issues facing farmers: reducing the frequency and harmful consequences of pest and disease.

The collection of vast and eclectic data from over 10 million acres of farmland across mainland China has afforded Farmi the ability to create unique software solutions on top of an existing platform. Most notably to provide more prescriptive and predictive models for identifying and managing pests and disease infestations that cause significant crop losses.
