China has been an ideal country to build, launch and refine the technology being one of the largest agricultural countries in the world, with over 300 million acres of arable land and over 5,000 kinds of common pests and diseases. Farmi’s ability to demonstrate its innovative approach has resulted in strong government support and, as a result, widespread use in a testing and commercial capacity.

For example, a government farm with 200,000 acres of farmland growing rice in Heilongjiang tasked the company with deploying its technology in order to guide the farm in the control and prevention of disease and pests via the prescriptive and predictive analysis. Over 300 monitoring points across the land using various data collection methods. Over the course of 5 years, Ningxia was able to reduce the loss associated with pest and disease management by $600,000 USD per year, about $3/acre in addition to increasing crop yields. Similar results have been demonstrated on other farms and with other crops.
